About Cornell Law School
Cornell Law School is the law school of Cornell University, a private Ivy League university in Ithaca, New York. It offers JD, LLM, MSLS and JSD degree programs. The school has about 600 J.D. students and houses the Legal Information Institute, a non-profit public service that provides free online access to legal research sources. Its clinics give students hands-on experience, including the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic, which provides pro bono legal services to emerging businesses, entrepreneurs and startups.
The school is based at Myron Taylor Hall in Ithaca, and it also operates at the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City. There, J.D. students can spend a semester in the Program in Information and Technology Law, and the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic expanded to that campus in January 2025. The Cornell Tech LL.M. in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship is offered in New York City, and its coursework covers topics such as privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property and AI law.
