About Empire Justice Center

Empire Justice Center is a nonprofit public-interest law firm based in New York State that works to make the law serve low-income, disabled and disenfranchised residents. It was originally founded in 1973 as the Greater Upstate Law Project. Its approach combines litigation, education and policy advocacy, and it also provides training and technical assistance to other legal services providers and community organizations, as well as direct civil representation for financially eligible clients.
