About Mount Sinai Health System
Mount Sinai Health System is a nonprofit integrated health care system headquartered in New York City. It was created in September 2013 through the combination of Continuum Health Partners and The Mount Sinai Medical Center. The system includes the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing, and seven hospital campuses in the New York metropolitan area.
Clinical services cover areas such as cancer care, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and psychiatry, delivered through more than 400 outpatient practices across the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester County and Long Island. A job posting describes the in-house legal department as assisting counsel with litigation and legal documents. Separately, the Mount Sinai Medical Legal Partnership, which a newsroom post calls an independent charity, places lawyers in Mount Sinai hospitals to offer free legal services to patients.
