Neuberger Berman, also called Neuberger, is an investment management firm, and its public materials do not describe a law practice. Roy Neuberger and Robert Berman founded it in 1939. The company says it is 100% owned by current and former employees and has no external shareholders. It manages equities, fixed income, private equity, private credit, hedge fund and real estate portfolios for institutions, financial advisors and individual investors, and it offers mutual funds, ETFs and private wealth solutions.
The firm is headquartered in New York City at 1290 Avenue of the Americas, and its NB Private Wealth business also lists a Morristown, New Jersey office. The contact page additionally lists offices in Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Tampa, Radnor, Toronto and several European cities, plus Riyadh. As of December 31, 2025, the firm reported about 2,922 employees in 40 cities worldwide.
