About New York City Office of Technology and Innovation
The New York City Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) is a mayoral agency of the City of New York. It was created in 2022 by combining several earlier city technology bodies, including the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT), the Mayor's Office of the Chief Technology Officer, NYC Cyber Command, and the Mayor's Office of Data Analytics. The agency is led by the Commissioner and Citywide Chief Technology Officer. Its responsibilities cover the City's IT infrastructure, citywide technology policy, information security and privacy, and telecommunications franchises.
Among its functions, OTI maintains the NYC.gov website and the MyCity portal, administers the NYC311 service line, runs the City's data center and citywide networks, and oversees open data initiatives. It also regulates franchised cable and public telecommunications services on City streets and pursues digital equity programs such as broadband access. Its headquarters is at 2 MetroTech Center in Brooklyn.
