About NYC – Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ)
The Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) is a New York City government agency. It gives policy counsel to the mayor and the First Deputy Mayor on criminal justice matters and acts as the mayor's liaison to the courts, district attorneys, defenders, and state justice agencies. It funds and oversees contracts with legal service organizations that provide representation across the city. The Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes is housed within MOCJ. The agency lists its primary address at 1 Centre Street in New York, NY, and its operations are based in New York City.
