About Paramount Global
Paramount Global, which operated under the trade name Paramount, was a media and entertainment company with its headquarters in New York City. Its operations covered television, film, streaming, news, sports and publishing, and it also licensed entertainment rights. Its brand portfolio included CBS, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
The Paramount Global name was adopted in February 2022, when the company, previously known as ViacomCBS, was renamed. On August 7, 2025, a business combination with Skydance Media closed, and Paramount Global became a wholly owned subsidiary of Paramount Skydance Corporation. In October 2026, an announcement said the combined group would take the Skydance name, a change linked to its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The company's headquarters was at One Astor Plaza in New York City.
