The Legal Aid Society of Rochester, New York (LASROC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides direct civil legal services, including lay advocacy and related human services, to adults and children. Its origins trace back to 1893, when a women's organization in Rochester formed a legal protection committee, and it was incorporated as the Legal Aid Society of Rochester in 1921. Its attorneys and advocates provide representation, legal advice, advocacy and educational clinics to low and moderate-income individuals, families and youth in crisis.

The organization works in family law, including orders of protection, custody, divorce and child support, and in housing and consumer matters, including eviction defense in Rochester City Court, foreclosure prevention and bankruptcy help for eligible Monroe County residents.
